New Member and 95 FD owner in Japan
Hello everyone. My name is Brian and I've been in the US Air Force for 15 years and currently living in Japan. I've always loved the body lines of an FD and I'm glad to finally say I own one. I just picked up a 1995 Type R Bathurst with 85,500kms on it. From what I read...it's 1 of 500 made, but nothing really special vs. other FD's. This is my first experience with a rotary engine as well. The car itself is in really good condition and of course my plans are to clean it up even better as I'm really **** about the cleanliness of my cars. Some cars I've owned in the past are, an RSX Type-S that I turbo'd, 350Z, S15 Silvia, S14 Silvia, and now my FD. I hope to gain a lot of knowledge from this forum as well as contribute any that I may have.

Thanks, I'm pretty excited to finally own one. Now to learn as much about them as I can is the next challenge I must do. I don't know much at all about rotaries like I do about piston engines.

Thanks, yeah...I much prefer the white color FD over any and I have every intention of keeping it clean looking. My plans are new wheels, coilovers, and some performance mods.

Nice FD! There wasn't much for the '95 Bathurst R besides a few visuals and the special Bathurst R stickers. I'm working on getting one imported to the states. Where are you stationed? I'm a Marine and I was in Okinawa about 4 years ago.

@NoRegretz, Right now I'm up north in mainland Japan. I'd love to hear how that goes on the importation as I'm wanting to bring this one back to the states after my tour in Germany is over (where I'm heading to in March with my car). I know with mine being a limited edition that its possible, but other non-limited editions can't be imported. All the info needed can be found from NHTSA's website. I've been to Camp Lester and Foster a few times while working at Kadena. I'll have a total of 6 years living in Japan under my belt.
@ Dougiepants, Paid $4,600 delivered for it. Deals can be had here in Japan if you're patient and keep one eye open...lol. Currently the Yen rate is really crappy, so prices are up.

Well, I'm going through this company called Japan Partner. They have the car, all the paperwork and the shipping company all in one spot. I've been emailing them over their website. You can possibly try talking to them about helping you out with the shipping.
