Well I've been lurking around the forums for quite a while now, being that I've always wanted an rx7 and now I finally got one. I traded my non-running 86 Mazda B2000 minitruck for a black 88 N/A with GTU suspension on Christmas eve, thanks to a good long time friend of mine. I don't really know how this forum is but I've been a member of mazdabscene.com for quite some while now and a lot of people over there know me and my story. For those of you on here that might be interested, I'm 24 years old and last may I was hit by a Staples truck that ran a stop sign, and messed up my back and neck. I've been walking the last year with a cane, and things have been very tough for me because they are trying to screw me around on my settlement and my disabllilty, not trying to gain any sympathy from anyone, just trying to let the ones that might care know. I'm currently looking for some parts for my car, but understand, I'm extremely strapped for cash. When I got my car I got quite a bit of extra parts with it, some of which I might be able to part ways with in trade for some parts. I would really only want to deal locally (Chattanooga, TN and surrounding areas) I'm in need of a nice front bumper for my car as mine is really beat up and held together in places by zip ties, lol. I also need the plastic piece for my TII hood because mine has i pretty big section missing out of it and it looks horrible. I also could use a new radio surround piece and the passenger side defog vent on the top of the dash (the little one) I'm not looking for any handout's just looking for fellow rx7 owners that might be willing to help me out. I'm going to try to add some pix to this thread when I can but my pics are on Facebook and I cant access it from my computer right now due to my lack of an actual network card in my computer (having to tether thru my phone). Let me know if your nearby and have the parts that I need. Sorry bout the rant, just figured I'd introduce myself, lol.

Thanks for the welcome rxtasy3. I'm prolly gonna make a post it the classifieds section here in the next few days. I also checked out the east TN rotary thread. I actually tried to post there the other day but after I typed it out I hit submit and found out my internet connection dropped and when I tried to refresh the page it erased everything I had written lol. And yes my accident was in my old truck, my buddy Roger helped me get her roadworthy again and a few months later I had some bad problems with the head on the truck and I was without a vehicle for almost 5 months. Then about a week from Christmas I received a text from Roger asking if I wanted to trade my truck for the rx7. So on Christmas Eve we made the official trade. The only thing actually wrong with the car is that it needs tires in a bad way. I'm still trying to find some but with no money its kinda hard to make a deal, lol. Last year was pretty much horrrible but I'm in hopes that this year will be a bit better. Like I said im gonna make a trade thread soon, but if anyone sees this b4 I do I might be interested in trading my bbs wheels for something 16 to 17 inch with at least decent tires I have 3 of the center caps for them btw.

yeah,try the local classifieds down at the bottom of the main page and also there are alot of rx7 parts on craigslist last two months that are near you,i use searchtempest.com and enter rx7 within like a 250 mile radius and come up with a ton of parts good luck with everything steve

The only thing I'm really having trouble finding is the hood scoop piece. I know there's someone on here that makes em but I cant afford $50 bux right now unfortunately, even though I would really like the carbon fiber one, lol. I found a guy locally selling a bumper, but he wants 50 bux for it, but once again I can't afford it, lol. But I finally did get some tires yesterday thanks to my dad. I'm gonna try to use my finance's laptop to post some pictures up on here. She's not that much to look at, but with the way the weather has been since I've had the car, I haven't been able to even wash it yet, lol.

Thanks for all the welcomes guys. Well I wanted to post this in the kill section but my post count isn't high enough so, I'll raise my post count one more by adding this. Tonight I took my future father in law to Walmart. Now when reading this story realize that this man weighs close to if not already, 400 lbs, yes thats correct he is a big guy, lol. So anyways on the way back from Walmart, I'm doing the speed limit, and this brand new Honda Civic SI goes flying past me, but he gets caught by the traffic light ahead which was already red. Now mind you that I'm doing about 5 over the speed limit when this happens. So I get up to the traffic light and look at his car like i do every other car on the street and he has all these performance parts stickers on the car, lol so when the light turns green, he launches it leaving me behind. So the next traffic light we pull up to, were both turning left (2 turn lanes) and the light turns green, now once again I had no intent of racing and was already in second gear at like 2500 rpms when I completed the turn and got on the straight shot, and he punches it once again, so he gets about a half car in front of me and without down shifting I decide to lay into it. Needless to say i left him like nothing and by the time I was about halfway thru third gear, I already had around 10 car lengths on him, lol. Then I pulled into the gas station to get something to drink, and he pulls in to the gas pump. I told the guy at the counter who is one of my buddies what happened and he got a kick out of it, when the guy came into the store he wouldn't even acknowledge the fact that I even existed, lol. Of course I guess I would be butt hurt too if my brand new "fast car" got toasted by a car that looks as ugly as mine does now, lol. Just figured I'd share that with you guys, lol.

Well guys, I don't know where to begin. Things have taken another change for me and now I have to get rid of what is my dream car. This being my only car I have to come up with something with better mpg, lower insurance, and more than 2 seats cause I'm fighting to get rights to see my kids. I'm not making a for sale thread cause I don't have enough posts, being a long time mazdabscene member I can understand and respect that. I just wanted to let you guys know I'll still be here, although I'll prolly go back to ghost mode until I can get another RX7 because this being my first one and the unfortunately for so short of an amount of time I don't really have enough knowledge or experience with these cars to be able to add much to the site. I have absolutely loved owning the RX7 and I will have another one day when things change for me. Thanks for listening guys and I hope I haven't broken any rules with this post - Tyler
