New(ish) Rx7 Enthusiast
Hello,
New to the forums, been lurking for a long time, great information on here!
I'll start off by introducing myself, my name is Joe and I am 26 years old. I've always loved the FDs since I was a young kid. Now that I'm established and old enough to dump unreasonable amounts of money into a 23 year old car, here I am!
I've been a gear head since my early teens (13-14 years old) and progressively became more and more involved and serious about cars & Motorsports. I was a fully certified GM technician for 7 years, which was a great catalyst to learning A LOT about cars, mechanics of cars, and general experience. I wouldn't trade that experience for anything, as it allows me to do the things I do with much confidence.
I'm an avid road racer and have been tracking road courses for 8 years. I decided to get a competition license in 2012 and started racing wheel-to-wheel in Spec Miata. This year I placed 2nd in the championship in the highly competitive MARRS series.
Anyways, here are my projects. I have two FDs, both 93.
The one on the left is a single owner, bone stock car that was left in his brothers shop for 5 years untouched. I picked it up for a steal and immediately started dismantling it as I wanted to do a full rebuild of it. The engine runs but not well, enough to do a burnout in the driveway
The one on the right I recently acquired. It was someone else's project who didn't have the knowledge, experience or time to dedicate to it. So I picked that one up for a very low price as well, and drove it home! Little rough but I enjoy projects like these. I have big plans for both cars.
