New from Hou, TX

New to the forums. Have referenced the community on several occasions trying to get my feet wet regarding the rotaries.

I've been planning an 48 IDA outfitted 13B in my 85 Corolla coupe for a while but plans keep getting thwarted. hoping to actually do it this time around so long as my ducks stay in their row. the 5 spd i was already planning on just got nabbed. Looking like Deja Vu...

you can pay a visit to the up and coming planet zero ACCESS ZERO meet they hold once a month. they're usually pretty large. it would be great to see a convoy of RXes show up for this month's "meet".

here's a google map.

Well after a few mesurments on the AE and the Rotary the 13b will fit just perfect! I myself grabbed a 48ida with manifold for 180.00 a few days ago good sir. there is a guy on Alamomotering.com by the name if Sleeper7 that can get you ANY rx7 part. He frequents Japan ALOT lol but any rotary question you have about that you can ask him. But the engine will just need custom mounts. Its pretty stright forward, Wiring is easy as hell lol

no worries jason. i'm familiar enough with what needs to be done. a 48 or 50 IDA has been a desirable setup after seeing one in action at the local auto-x several years ago. the driver/owner burned through his runs in a blink of an eye with great finesse on top of the amazing speed.

an IDA setup would be ideal due to cost and carbs are what i'm most familiar with. though a T2 hasn't been ruled out. parting out a clean vert chassis at the moment with the 5 lug already pulled. hopefully this will help fund our 13B competition chassis.

Yea a buddy of mine has a swapped 13b where i live here in San Antonio and he does some cool swaps. He is the one that is currenty helping me. I drove it and all I can say is that...I am in love with this swap. I am slowly learning about rotaries and to be honest when I am done with this baby I will for sure be at one of the meets and then you can drive the car and see if you like it.
