New Here and to Imports and Excited :D
Hey guys I'm new here just purchased my first Mazda RX-7 yesterday.
A bit about myself I have been working around cars since I was 12(I'm 19 now in case you were wondering :P) (albeit muscle cars). This is my first non Detroit muscle car I have owned. I have fixed up a 66 Mustang, 72 Firebird, 72 Nova SS, and currently own a 69 Dodge Dart.
I got interested in the RX-7's after a friend purchased a 280ZX.
I picked my 1985 Mazda 1.1 Carb. up yesterday for 400. It's in pretty bad condition and truthfully getting a bit discouraged already the Vacuum hoses are a nightmare from hell
Trying to fix an idling problem it sounds like its idling at 3-4 thousand RPM's
Also Clutch pedal is sticking which is very odd need to trace that
And lastly there is an electrical leak somewhere draining batteries left and right.
Will do a search on the forum for the above problem but if someone more seasoned has any bits of wisdom they would like to share I would appreciate it.
Thanks and I'm stoked to be an owner of the Coveted RX-7
