Lemme guess, that engine is an 83 12a? I've got the same thing under my hood with that asinine water cooled oil cooler...

Nice bug. I saw an old one going down the highway today with a megaphone zoomie sticking out from under the bumper... Call me old school, but I love bugs.

vw transaxle its just been custom built to handle the power and rpms of a wankel engine, the damn thing cost me 1700 to build!!! i dont know the year of my engine all i know is it was an auto its a 12 a could anyone help me figure out what year it is i think the guy said it came out of an 85...

heres my other ride no wankel i had to have one thats all vw power it goes great!! 1835cc dual carbs a couple of extras and yes a megaphone '' muffler''
car shoots fire at high rpm!!

there ya go the seats are gettin swapped out to tan and brown leatherette to match the tan interior but i bough extra seats to keep these intact becausse they are awesome!!

so is this just going to be a street build? will definitely make an awesome sleeper. what are your plans for body? suspension? ill definitely be following this project, and i passed it on to a couple vw guys i know who also think its pretty awesome.

1961 ragtop rebuild

its a full resto im shootin for a show and go it going to look like herbie the love bug. so far i have the floor and frame refinished im currently working on the body and all the fenders hood and decklid have been replace with fiberglass panels to lighten the 1500 lb car even more ,
what i wanted from this build was a sleeper herbie replica that can do a wheelie relatively easy
