Hey forum. Let me start off by saying I have no experience with rotary engines whatsoever yet, but have almost always wanted to own one. So, I'm here with a few things in mind.

1. Learn as much as I can about the rx-7 as far as maintenance is concerned. I don't own one yet, but I prefer to have ideas about what to do and how to do it ahead of time, as I would really expect and want to work on it myself as much as I can.

2. Nothing wrong with socializing with people with the same interests. I assume everyone is here because you either own one, want one, or are offering a product for one(vendors/etc.). As such, I really am looking to learn as much as I can from what is pretty much a living library on the RX-7.

3. As my title may hint at, I'm currently in TN, but will move to OH for educational purposes. As I learn from the forum, I'm sure a nice RX-7 will go for sale near area code 43402(Bowling Green, OH). I'd love to own one once I'm settled and comfortable in the region.

Here is an interesting piece of knowledge to start you off with: The average 4 cyl engine can have over 70 seperate moving parts.

The rotory has 4.

What gen rx 7 are thinking about? for me it's 1st gen all the way. I bought my step son (ericpeters on this board) an 85 restoration project and my self a 79 (a drive-able project)
