New Guy from NC
Hello all, I'm Mike aka Shorty from Jacksonville, NC. I've been dreaming about getting an FD3S since I first saw one back in Japan. I've found the one that I want and now I'm just waiting to get all of the money together to get the car shipped to Miami Port.
I do have a few questions about getting my FD3S though...
1. Have any of you worked with or heard of Japan Partner? They currently have the '95 FD3S Type R Bathurst
2. How hard is it to get my FD3S registered in the States?
3. Any good RX7 clubs in North Carolina?
Thanks and hope to have fun on here with everyone.

Geez, you sure saved up some change there! I'm lovin' the profile pic you put up. Thanks for taking the time to register here and welcome aboard to RX-7 Club!

welcome mike. no idea bout registering that FD here in the states but check out the SE section under the regional forums. there's a thread called "I77 & I40 Crossroads rotary meet". i believe they get together on the 2nd sun of each month in mooresville. good luck getting the FD.

I haven't saved the money up yet. I'm getting a re-enlistment bonus here soon, and besides paying off my other two cars (Mustang and Fusion) all the rest of the bonus is going to importing this FD3S. I hope to have fun getting to know everyone on here and learn some more about these amazingly unique rotary engines. I'll check out the meet here in NC next month. I didn't think my profile pic worked. Lol. Thanks guys

Hmmm, shouldnt be too hard here in NC, I know a few people around Fayetteville who have Skylines(R32/R33), I'll ask them if they are out at the meet tonight or tomorrow night.

None of them were out last night while I was out there, I don't go to crossroads though. I go to the Fayetteville Old Circuit City meets. I was only there from about 9-10:30 last night though cause my buddy wanted to go off roading at The Dumps in Hopemills so we left early.
I know there are some on ImportsNC.com though I would register there and see if they could answer your questions.

Cool, thanks. I might have to swing up that way sometime this month to check you guys out up there in Fayetteville. I'm about due for a meal at Popeye's, anyways. Lol.

Not yet. According to the local old peoples, the city is about to get about 5 new restaurants and department stores, and Popeye's is on the list for next year. But for now I have to go all the way to Fayetteville for some of that good cajun food.
