I picked up my first RX7 (I believe it's a GXL S4) a little over six months ago with the intentions of doing a V8 swap. I found the car on Craigslist for 800 bucks. Went to pick it up intending to drive it home but took a trailer just in case. When I got to see it, the car ran but wouldn't idle without keeping your foot in the gas. Smoked a little but sounded alright. The brakes were completely locked up but overall, it wasn't a bad find. The only rust was under the battery tray and a little on a rear wheel arch.

i had bought a Ford 302 off a friend who built a supercharged dart block for his 95 mustang and planned on just carbing it and throwing it in. After a couple intake manifold bolts broke off in the head, I decided to just swap to aluminum heads while I had it apart.

Anyway,
I'll keep this thread as up to date as I can with info and part numbers so that if anyone else is looking to do the swap, it can minimize the searching for info and part.
