TX New guy

Hello all. I am not a Mazda RX7 owner, however, I am building something that has never been done before and I will be using the heart and soul out of a Mazda RX7 to power it. I have a 1983 Mazda B2000 that I will be building a full custom frame unlike anything ever done before and I hope to be debuting it at SEMA next year. We will see how that goes. A friend of mine told me about this forum and told me to join so I can learn about the Turbo Charged 13B which is what I will be using to power my truck. I will be looking for a builder to rebuild the engine, tranny, and rearend when this all goes down. It will be a stock rebuild on the engine, I want it to last a very long time and I am not looking for a lot of power. The stock power alone out of the 13B is twice as much as what my Mazda has now hahaha. Anyway, my name is Ryan and you can check out all my work at the site in my sig.

Well, my sig won't work until I have 10 or more posts so here is one with my website. www.ryanssheetmetaldesigns.com

I am not advertising I just want to show you guys what I do and where I am headed. I just got hit up today for a SEMA interior build for next year. So that is probably going to take up all my free time between February and October. I have a fulltime job as an aircraft sheetmetal fabricator so my side business is just that, a side business. I have a wife and 3 kids so yeah, I stay busy! hahahaha

Thanks man. I know that the swap has been done into a truck, that isn't what I am talking about when I say that I am building something that has never been done. I was originally going to drop a LS1 on this frame but everyone uses the LS1 for custom builds. So I decided to go with the 13B on this. I wish I could say what I am doing but I am really trying to get my name out there and with what I am about to do everyone in the custom scene will know my work around the world! Not trying to sound like an *** but I am about to do something that is just that wild!

Are you on Mazdabscene? I would love to see your truck.

I was in =SunSet= but got out due to some personal issues with a couple members.

I am on mazdatruckin.
There are quite a few pics of it on there!

I know how clubs go lol. I rolled <severed ties> for a few years, and it just wasn't something I really enjoyed.

Make sure to post up pics of urs, and u are amazing with metal! If I could afford the right equipment, I would love to learn stuff like that!

Right now I am just doing all my body mods. I got the driverside door suicided, fullskin combo on, cut out the MAZDA stamp off my other truck tailgate and got it tacked in the fullskin combo, started shaving everything and started getting rid of everything that is not going to be used on the truck when it comes back together. Once I get both doors suicided I will be able to finish my interior fabrication which includes a full sheetmetal dash (non removable), sheetmetal speaker box, kick panels will be sheetmetal welded to the truck, etc. I priced getting my door panels recovered and the way I wanted them was going to cost me around $700 so I decided to build my own. I didn't want to get crazy on my interior but it loks like that is the direction I am heading hahaha. My brother just got stationed in Japan so I have him looking for me a twin turbo 13b. I would be happy with a single turbo 13b from here in the states but with everything else I am doing to the truck, why not go ahead and go with a twin turbo 13b right hahaha.

I keep my website updated with everything I am doing but here are a few pics

Support for the fullskin combo

The box in the bed is my 17 gal RCI fuel cell

Here is part of my door panels, still a lot more to go on them. There will be some Marine Corps red in the panel as well hahaha. I am a prior Marine so I like to call scarlett red Marine Corps red hahaha

I don't get to work on my own truck very much so when I do I try to bust *** as much as possible on it. I am usaully tied up on other projects. Been pretty busy lately. It's hard to do a fulltime job, RSD on the side, and take care of my family, but I love every minute of it.

I would suggest a single turbo 13b. It is easier to mount, and better clearance for the turbo!
