ON < new girl ^^

ok so i guess i can show you some pictures of my 1988 Rx7
im not sure what im doing with it at the moment though
it runs but leaks oil at high RPMs so if i drive it i cant let it go above 4000..... whats the point in that, my boyfriend beat me in his 1992 eagle summit Sigh~~
on top of that i might have more motivation to drive it if it was a 1987 cause then i wouldn't have to worry about it needing an e-test, but nooo its an 88 so i need a muffler and gaskets between every piece of exhaust (totaling $500 in labor and parts including the $250 muffler...)

To the girl who orginally started the thread: Do not PM this guy, he has no clue what he's talking about.

Oh, and don't go in the lounge, whatever you do.

Volvo's are by far my favorite cars and My 242 might receive 26B-Turbo power someday.

I know how you feel with the emissions part, I used to live in CA with my old 87 NA RX7 and I had to pay $500 for a new cat... and muffler. The year there for not needing it is like 78 or something like that, I don't remember it's been a while since I lived there. and welcome to the forums

Don't listen to this dude. Do a search on e-fans, the stock clutch fan works great and you're not loosing a whole lot of hp by keeping it. The only time you should change it with a slimmer e-fan is if you need the space in the engine bay, or you want a clean look.

Installing block off plates pretty much means you're tossing the emissions equipment, so that's really up to you.

Single vs. Dual exhaust has more to do with personal taste. Both exhaust systems have advantages and disadvantages that the vehicle owner has to take into account and decide which system better fits his/her needs.

Good luck with the car, have fun, and welcome to the forums. Not only should you stay away from the lounge, but don't post pics up of yourself... unless you want the attention!

1. sell your other cars and use the money for your fc.

2. don't be afraid to get dirty and put the exhaust on yourself... or get eagle boy to do it for you.

3. welcome to rx7club.com

If my car couldnt go over 4k then I would probably get beat too! You need to get that 4k and oil leak fixed...or else putting it off is goign to do damage!!! How much did you pay for this car btw??? Go to the classified section on here and find someone close and get your exhaust from them. Putting a new exhauat on is a great first project...even for a woman.

will it literally not rev over 4k, maybe u have the dreaded 3800 rpm problem. Than u need to start adding some grounds. My suggestion b4 u spend any money on anything is get a compression test done on your motor so u know what ur starting with
