New To Forum, Hopefully New To RX7's (From UK)

Hi Guys, my names Jake. Im 21 and from the UK. I currently own a Honda Civic Type R ep3 (stage 1, 230bhp). Unfortunalty someone crashed into me on Boxing day and im still waiting on my insurance for payout.

I work as a vehicle technician for Toyota, and have always been a fan of Jap car & imports! Im always attending local meets & cruises, going to shows etc. I eat, sleep, breathe modded cars!

These past few months with out my type r have been driving me nuts! I definatly want to break and sell up and go turbo.....ive been looking at freshly imported RX7 Type R's as insurance is reasonable for my age. But only thing putting me off is i no naff all about rotary engine's!

I just wanted some opinions on the Type R (2.3 single turbo)? Specs, any common faults i should know about or other useful info would be appreciated.

Im a complete n00b to the mazda & RX7 scene...

Thanks guys, hope to be an owner very soon!!!

Welcome

Best bet is for you to educate yourself by reading the FAQ threads for the generation RX7 in which you are interested. Specs, common faults, buyer's guides, repairs etc are all in there.
