Hi everybody 🙂

I'm a man of few words 😂

but I will tell you this much
I'm based in the Swiss Alps and have Portuguese blood, been around cars since a kid (there was a garage in from of my house in 🇵&#127481 and this one time a FB pop by and since been craving for one 🙃 (fun fact.. Is as well the first car under my name)

Needless to say that I found one.. (that meets my expectation, we talking about almost 40 years)
Almost got thrown out because this "garage" didn't have a clue about the car .. even though Internet!?
Anyway..
I'm very mechanically inclined and have some experience being that i used to work as a mechanic and still do on my family vehicles.

1 year in and I present in you "Bidi"

Been having trouble finding parts for the car in Switzerland and swiss laws for emitions control witch makes it a very slow built
Unfortunately don't really know where to look for parts and so on in Switzerland, I did found some stuff but for some parts they ask the price of a downer car..

Already refreshed the carb and replaced some gaskets

She's staying period correct.. but with a bit of spice on the bottom.

✌️

Update
Got 15" 4x110 wheels Interior from red to black, diferent approach from material same design.. in a way (maybe bucket seats...still in discussion)

Some new wiring (planning to replace all eventually)

New rear latch dampers
Slowly thinking about BC coils 🤔

Break booster is leaking.. probably the calipers will go as well, it is almost 40 years so 🤷🏻‍♂️ (repair all the seals and Refurb the entire break sistem... Or... New breaks "bigger... Humm still want to keep the 4x110 so still up to debate) Some pics

All gauges work, just the temp seems to read low in comparison to a termolaser thingy ting 🤣

By now it's all out

13" rotor wheels

15"

15"

Yes she's dirty and will be repainted at the point that she's ready for some track days... And it is a street car.. but with some spice 🤷🏻‍♂️✌️

From what I can see, the new wheels look nice one the car! Would be cool to see a thread in the 1st Gen "Builds" section showing the car's progress as you continue its restoration!

Guess I should do it.. because this is gonna be a hard way but it is going to be a "sleeper" in a way, just alot of spice under... 🤭
