New First Gen RX-7 Owner in BC
I'm Dave and I live in the Fraser Valley in BC, Canada. I'm now the proud owner of a 1984 RX-7 GSL-SE. The car was modfied as part of a TV show a few years ago. The end result was a 400 HP turbo 13B monster. Sadly, the motor blew before I took possession.
It currently exists as a turbo'd 13B putting out approximately 250 HP. Suspension has been redone all the way around and the interior has been gutted to make room for 2 race buckets and a full cage.

So far I've been tinkering with various small things getting it ready for the road. Tomorrow is brake fluid flush day! I'm still figuring out how rotary engines work, but I'm learning every day. The biggest issue so far is that the signal lights and hazards dont't work. I've been reading forum posts and hope to find a new board from a parts car that will fix the problem.
Eventually, I hope to get back to Targa Newfoundland.
Thank you to everyone who shares their knowledge on here so that guys like me have half a chance of figuring things out!

Glad to have you join the website and congrats on picking up the 1stgen! It's always a good day when another one of the GSL-SE's is found and begins a new life with a new owner. There's no doubt in my mind that everything you need to know to get that car roadworthy again will be found somewhere on this website!
Thanks for taking the time to register and welcome aboard to RX-7 Club!
