New Female Member that has Rotary Engines running a long history in my fam
Hi! I'm Vanessa and and happy to be here! I've owned several RX-7's including my **** brown 1st car, a 1984 12A.
I have a rare history of Rotary's running in the fam. My Uncle raced for a short time for Mazda in Formula 1 and my father and grandfather built his engines as both certified Mazda Techs. That was in the 80's but for the last 25 years, my dad started and runs The Rotary Doctor in SW Missouri
We are a family of enthusiests and adrenaline junkies. Other activities my dad and I enjoy besides SCCA events are skydiving and dune buggy racing.
My current 7 is an FC GXL with several mods. Her name is Roxy
I currently live in YUMA, AZ and my 7 and I are lonely so we often drive over the hill to SoCal/Camp Pendelton as my husband is Marine.
Let me know what events the Pendelton Club has going on as I'd LOVE to attend. My dad and I are also headed to 7Stock to hollar if you'll be there!
7Love,
Vanessa

That's pretty awesome. I actually used to live in San Diego and on the quieter nights that I wasn't able to find anything to do, I would pack up my buddy Amanda and we'd drive to Yuma. As soon as we got there, we would just turn around and drive back. From time to time the border patrol would stop us and ask us what country we were from and such. Eventually, we started pretending that we didn't speak English. Anyway, I rant. Have fun with your GXL. Mine has a super original name of "Savanna".

I can't complain! There are some huge advantages being raised in a Rotary family. Advantages such as a free ported engine rebuild, transmission swap from auto to 5speed, super charger on my 13B, etc.!

Hey Vanessa...I think you should be the official SevenStock model next year.
If it's okay with the Rotary Doctor and your hubby...can't think of a better representative.

It is very nice to see people appreciating the genius of Rotary engines. I have been told my car sounds like an over sized super bike, or had it called a ricer etc. I have even had someone ask me "is that a V6 you have in there?!"... Finding such a wonderful form with people passionate about the very engine and car I fell in love with! Kudos to you all!

Hey Vanessa,
Tim here. Nice meeting you at Sevenstock. I met you in the lounge at the Doubletree with Glen and Valerie Roberts and your dad. I told you about us having a Rotary Club (RCCAZ) in Phoenix. Sorry you didn't get into the show. I know that Phoenix is a long drive, but one of these "cooler" months you should come up and join us for a drive!
Until then, best of luck and again, great meeting such a loyal rotary enthusiast!!!
