New FD3S owner from Switzerland

Good morning everyone,

I am finally the proud owner of a 1999 Mazda RX7 Type RS. The car was first imported to the UK in 2014 and I finally bite the bullet and purchased the car in December 2020 (without having seen the car once).
With Brexit and Covid things got very hectic at the UK border and the car remained stored for a while. Finally in June I was able to organise transport and customs clearance and the car was shipped to me in Switzerland.

This was the first time I had ever seen the car in person !

And here she sits, comfortably in my garage

So the car is a 1999 Type RS with all the goodies specific to the late spec type RS's (diff, brakes, turbos, ...). The car has ~140'000 km but was fitted with a reman 13B from Mazda when I purchased it. The car was also repainted with an excellent paint job with windows and everything removed and was undercoated with Dynax UB. It also comes with a bunch of good quality aftermarket parts:
- Apexi Power FC
- Custom carbon fibre air intake
- Greddy SMIC
- AEM water injection
- Knight Sports twin tube downpipe
- RE-Amemiya high flow cat
- Fujitsubo Legalis R 80mm cat-back exhaust
- 17x8 BBS RG-R wheels
- Ohlins DFV 11kg coilovers
- Super Pro front, rear and differential bushings (complete kit)

We have very tights restrictions on imported cars in Switzerland and the first order of business is to register the car. To make it road legal the car has to go through Euro2 emission testing, noise testing and power measurement. To make it possible I will fit the stock main cat and adapt the USDM precat and get it tuned specifically to decrease emissions as much as possible. Hopefully beginning of next year I will be able to drive the car on our roads !

Otherwise my name is Kevin, I am 28 years old and I work as a production engineer in the chemical industry !

Welcome! Nice looking FD, I don't know if I'm admiring the car more or the nature behind the house haha.

That's a beautiful car, as well as the mountains behind you.

Thank you for the welcoming messages.
I am very lucky to live in Valais, in the Swiss Alps. We have a lot of mountain roads to play around such as the Furka Pass:
