New FD OWNER

After 26 years of drooling over this car, my wife finally bought me a cherry original Montego blue FD for my 40th. I cannot wait to dive into these forums and make that beauty my own

She looks great in your garage! I might be biased as another Montego Blue owner, but it's grown into my favorite color on these cars. What do you have planned for the car?

Your wife is a champ.

Welcome! I have to say that woman is a keeper right there buddy! Do you have any more pictures of the car to share and do you know any of the car's history?

Step one is to get the A/C working lol, then the muffler is blown, so full exhaust. the only down side is that it's an auto, so there will be a tranny swap eventually. I plan to keep it fairly stock other than that. I just wan't 300-400 horsies on a fun little weekend warrior that I will be buried in

Yeah, I'm still blown away that she did this for me, I don't know what I did to deserve her. I have a few more pictures, but here is the auction listing where she won it from.

I can't wait to start making it mine, and honestly after ghosting this board for years, I was kind of proud to finally register!

As for history, it spent most of it's life being babied in New York City. It spent a year and a half within a few miles of my office oddly enough, including an oil change right down the street. Then a whopping 7 months in Tennessee, then it wound up in a dealership that specializes in vehicles for the handicap who finally sold it to my better half. I'm going to call around to the business on the Carfax and see if I can get the old service records.
