Hey everybody! Long time lurker, new FC owner here, but not new to rotaries at all. I've grown up around them since I was young. My dad had a stock '84 GSL which he sold with 330k miles, only replaced the carburetor. My brother had two stock FCs - an '87 GXL, which was his daily, and a shot '87 Turbo ii, on top of having a 13BT swapped older B Series truck.
A little bit about me, I'm a former Marine turned Aircraft Tech now in the North Georgia area. I've previously owned an '83 KE-70 Corolla Coupe, a stock '96 SC300, and a lightly modded NA '03 350z (280whp). I currently have an '09 SV650, another '83 KE-70 Corolla Coupe with a 1JZ (410whp), and now the '87 Base FC which I plan on doing small mods here and there but mostly maintaining and enjoying her. So a few goodies... Hope to get to explore the forms more, and get to meet some of y'all!
Whew boy, now that's a nice FC! Congrats on the car and the first post. And that KE-70 sounds like a monster. Glad to hear you're planning on keeping the FC tame though, I'm sure you'll enjoy it a lot. Sounds like you're in good company too, with a family like that! I hope to see some more pics of that '87 floating about in the future, I'm a bit tired of owning red cars, but I gotta admit, it's a real nice color on FCs.
Welcome!! That's a super nice looking FC!! Looks to have been painted some time in its life as its missing the nose decal. How's the interior? Do you know any of the car's history?

Thanks! And yeah she is... I just put 4.10 gears in the Corolla not to long ago, versus what the previous owner had of 3.27, and it definitely gets up there now. I need to take her to the track and see what her times are once the winter season is over here. And yeah, I've always wanted an Rx7 but my family never kept them... She needs some TLC to get her back up there, but I just plan on simple intake/exhaust, fluid flushes, and going from there.

It actually has been painted, but not sure how long ago, clear coat fade I think he said. It's the first single color FC I've seen in a long time, and they did a good job. The interior is actually immaculate, and he has the original radio in it still, but it took a dump on him. From what he's told me, he rebuilt it a while back to OEM spec and now she has 72k miles on the motor, 204k on the body. Body definitely needs rust treatment but it was a good deal. I've only owned the car maybe two days, but I feel like a little kid with it. The owner was a good dude and has been very helpful.
I'll get more pictures later! I'm at work now, I wanna pull her in and look at the hood latch some, maybe look at some of the rust...
Hey! The North Georgia red FC spot is already taken. Tell you what, i will amend my title to, ‘Northwest Georgia red FC guy’. That way you don’t have to sell it.
It looks great! Hopefully we will run into each other at some point. I’ve had mine for a year and only seen one other FC on the road, and that was in the Acworth/Kennesaw area. It was white, and on the other side of 41, so that was just a glimpse.
Now, get that problem child straightened out and get behind the wheel!
