New Efini FD owner from ontario
Hello everyone, I've spent thousands of hours over probably 15 years reading everything on here, but I never registered because I didn't have one. I've wanted one of these cars for the longest time. Well I saved up my money for my entire life and since I'm in canada I decided to try and get the newest one I could for myself and my family to use. My favourite thing to do is go on long drives on the twisty backroads around where I live, I usually use a volvo 850 wagon 5 speed to do this but I figured an rx-7 would be a lot of fun.
I ended up getting a black 1997 Efini rx-7 type rs special edition if I was to use the whole name on it. It has around 50,000 km on it and is in good mechanical order for the most part. The one flip up headlamp is bitchy , the one door mirror doesn't work properly the paint isn't in the best condition and there is the main thing. It's incredibly fast when it works but I think the ignition coils are nearly dead and driving the thing right now when they heat up is akin to forcing a dying daemon to pull a wagon. Anyway it's nice to join the club formally but it kind of feels like I've been here for ages already.
I look forward to posting on here and helping out as best I can but I'll probably need others help before I'll be helping myself.
