Lightbulb New from eastern Canada

Hey guys. I have to be honest I don't own an rx7 yet but i am looking for an fa when my finacial situation plains out but I may be getting a 13 b in the next couple months

The reason I joined this forum is because I've heard lots of good things about it and want to learn a lot mroe about the rotaries. I know a small amount because my cousin owns an fc but other than a little odd bits like engine codes, body types and the small dieffrence between the 13b's and 13b re's and I get pissed at v8 swaps I'm prety much a noob.

The main question I have is how many users are located in Eastern Canda and srounding areas. I'm trying to get a rough idea because I'm going to college in Sept. to be a machinest and I am hoping to eventually produce aftermarket rotors and eccentric shafts as well as offer porting and be able to do professional rebuilds.

My main goal will be to focus on providing an easier way to get your rotary rebuilt instead of having to ship your motor all the way to Ontario. I plan to do this so the maratimes will be a more rotor friendly area of Canda. I know there is a few but my cousin said he only knows of about 16 -30 rx7's in Eastern Canada

So if any one can give me a couple of ideas on an approximate number of Rx7 owners in eastern Canada or Canadians in general who would like to have another option of where to send your motor please let me know. I'm not looking for any personal info just a little list of known cars. Thanks guys.

"vintage,"

Thanks for taking the time to register and welcome aboard to RX-7 Club. The first thing you're going to want to do is get that degree. The second thing you can do is really read up on this website on all the ventures that have been attempted on rotary engine parts and the problem areas that arose that no one had previously thought of. The eccentric shaft has been the subject of more than one debate here, for instance. What you've chosen is an interesting goal and it's a shame you're all the way up there because Arlington and its surrounding areas could use a good 12A/13B rebuilder right now. Keep plugging away and let us know if you get a chance to sneak in some rotary fun as part of a project there in tech school!

It'll be about 2-3 years or possibly longer from june 2012 before i can have the experiance needed to open the business but I hope to start rebuilding 12a's and 13b's with in the next few months.

I have also found a rise in rx7s listed on kijiji which is great news for a potential business.

Is there very many shops in ontario that rebuild rotary motors? I know there's a couple but if I can get better idea of how many I will know who to talk to about the market and also see what kind of competition I'd have.
