Hi Members,

Quick intro - I'm new to the board and also new to joys of owning a second gen turbo. Been awhile since I owned a turbo, my last one was a Conquest TSi way back in the day (early 90's) - I love that car.

I'll be adding pics as soon as I pic it up this weekend; it's not running right now so it's definitely a project car, but it has real potential.

Until then, I'll answer the questions required for us new guys.

1) What model Rotary car/truck was/is your favorite?
Rx7 S4 (TII).

2) What was the best thing about the car? Car was complete with well thought out upgrades - price was too tempting to walk away from.

3) What brought you to this site, Information, Friends, Selling, Buying, ect. ? Information.

4) Would you go to Rotary Events if they where close to you 50-75 Miles? Sure.

5) What port job do you like more, Streetport, Bridgeport, P-Port, Other? Streetport.

6) What was the first mod you did on your car? In process of new ECU.

7) When you post a reply, is there a specific Location Icon for your state or region? Texas

8) If you can think of a question that would go good in this list, please post it!! Tell us what motivated you to purchase a rotary car? For me, it was the power to weight ration and the fact these cars can turn.

Good to see other new owners!

Thanks,
Wayne

Believe it or not, that's going to be the first time I've ever seen anyone copy the reading thread questionnaire and then post it up to develop their Introduce Yourself thread.

Wayne, that's freakin' genius. It hits all the points. Looking forward to seeing you at the next rotary meet, my friend. Make sure that rex can make it. Here's where to read up on a past meet, the September one hasn't been decided upon yet:

Thanks for taking the time to register and welcome aboard RX-7 Club!

Well....this thread is a bit dated, but I have a very good reason..!

I went to purchase the '87 Tii and the seller had "sellers remorse". He admitted that he had a lot time & money into the car and really had reservations regarding the sell. Sooo...I was a bit disappointed. I really wanted the car, but also understand his emotions. I told him, "Ok - don't worry about it". I walked away....that was way back in 2012.

Fast forward to this week. I got a call from the seller. He was in a real bind and now he had to sell his toy - was I still interested? The answer was "YES".

The great news is that he added a new Microtech LT10C and also upgraded the turbo to full Stage 3 from BRN. Here's the kicker; he'd honor the original price he quoted me 6 months ago

I'm really pumped. It all worked out.

Now for reality....the car needs a lot of love. After some thought, I'm going to make this a track car only. It's better this way. I'll be posting up the progress of the car as it moves forward. For now, the car is finally in my possession. Now, it needs to be carefully gone over and then I'll complete the list of things to do.
