New and 1st time rotary car!

Hi! The names Lawrence and i just purchased a brand new 87' TII a week ago and I'm really excited.

Here's my story:
Before this car i used to own a 95 integra GSR and loved it to death, but then it was stolen back in october and life was very depressing after that. I began searching for a new car and initally my heart was set on a subie but b/c i have horrible credit i was unable to get one. I then started looking at civics but changed my mind since it was still a honda and chances are it would have been jacked since parts are so sought after. One day i went snowboarding up @ Mt. High and was in the parking lot with a couple friends and saw an FC parked near us( i believe he is on these boards with a yakima roof rack on a white FC). We both commented on how nice it looked with the rack on it and I instantly fell in love with the car. I began researching the car and reading up on this forum for about 2 weeks on how to find, maintain, and understand the car. After endless nights of reading and searching i found an FC that i was interested in and initially i was going to get a 91' N/A GXL in black that i had found on cars.com. I called that guy to setup a look see but after that call i looked on craigs list and found a lot more rx7's than on cars.com or autotrader. I noticed that there were a couple TII in the list but were very rare and most of them were in terrible shape, except for one that looked immaculate in the pics. I called the owner up to see the car and was stunned at how clean it was. We go for a drive and instanly i am shocked @ how smooth and powerfull it was. Sitting in the driver seat felt so @ home. Once we got back i didn't even hesitate and as soon as i got out of the car i said that i had to have this car.

Thats my story and am very excited to be the proud owner of this fine piece of machinery. Hope you all will accept me into this exclusive club of rotary drivers and i plan to be a sponge and soak up the vast info and tips that this forum has to offer.

Welcome. Be sure to read the FAQs. Lots of good info in there that will give you a head start on learning about the car.

Post some pics of the car too!
