New 1st Gen S3 GSL-SE Owner
Just picked up this 85' GSL-SE. Other than the paint it is in suprisingly good condition overall. Motor is strong, no major leaks. Changed all the fluids when I got her, Redline Synthetic, Castrol GTX, Prestone, the works. Planning to get the engine and transmission rebuilt eventually, maybe a street port, new paint, wheels, suspension, etc. The full Racing Beat suspension kit and Watanabe RS-8's will have to do for now. I love the way she handles. 1st Gen all the way!!!

Thanks guys!!! appreciate the support. Just picked up an 84 GS tranny from another member on here for better acceleration (my current tranny is whining, guess it needs new bearings), and im in the process of getting 12a irons to convert to a 4 port when i get my rebuild done (plus a large street port). All I need now is a weber carb and intake manifold so I can get started on the suspension (RE-Speed coilovers with Koni Adjustables or Tokico Blues), front bumper (maybe Wings West or some knockoff), wheels (16X9.5 Watanabe RS's w/240 ZG flares) and finally the paint (stock color). shes coming together very well! I'll keep u guys updated. Hopefully she ends up looking similar to this car...
