New 1988 Rx7 owner
Hey my name is Zach and I have always been a huge fan of the RX7. Finally got my first one this weekend and I could not be happier. It is a 1988 Mazda RX7 SE in great shape for the year and considering it came from Wisconsin. I live in the South West suburbs of chicago and am looking for other rx7 owners in the area to find a good shop to get a street port done at and also a club to drive around in. Anybody in the area let me know where I should go and if there is a local club I can get into.
Thank you very much
Zach

Hit the regional boards for your locale and I just KNOW there's got to be a strong rotary contingent in the Chicago area!

Thanks for the welcome. Oh right on. I am going to save up and get an S5 Turbo 2 and trans and drop it in my 88. Are you going to go on that cruise this Saturday around chicago for the RX7. I don't think I am going to beable to make it this weekend but we should get some other rx7's together and cruise around before the snow starts falling.

Grats on your new car, I wont lie when I got my RX7 I knew it was love at first site. I have owned it since I was 19 (I am 25 now) and it STILL makes me extremely happy to drive! I believe the RX7 possesses a certain soul that most cars do not possess (for any kind of decent price! lol). I hope she runs well for you for a long time to come, I can't imagine a better car to turn into a project, or to enjoy as is! Welcome to the world of Rotary!
