BC need help with a problematic car?¿

I bought this car(1983 rx-7 GSL Standard) a year ago and it ran beautiful no one single problem. Took it on a 500km trip no problem. Got back took it for a drive parked it and the ideal felt ruff. I then troubleshot all the emmission control and more. Then next time I tryed to start it no power. So got a new battery and alt. Since then Ive went threw 2 batterys and 4 alts. Got it running good again and then 3weeks ago I was warming it up andit caught fire in the intake/exaust. No damage was found. But had to change battery again to get it running, but now I have to pump the clutch got 20 minutes and then it's only driveable for maybe 15 minutes. Then out of no where it doesnt gol into any gears. If anyone can help me that would be great.

The electrical problems sound like a pour earth(-) conection. Try checking that all ur earth conections are clean with no rust or corrosion, and make sure they are all properly secure, not loose. You can even place another thick earth cable from ur engine to the car body. Make sure both ends of the earth cable are connected to a solid metal contact point, with no paint, rust or dirt. The clutch problem sounds like low fluid, you mite have a fluid leak somewhere in the line or cylinder. Fix the leak... if any, drain all fluid and replace with new fluid, besure to bleed the line to get rid of any unwanted air in there. Good luck
