Hey Dudes, I'm Austin. I'm 20 years old and my RX-7 is my second car. I grew up without any interest in cars until I turned 16 and finally bought my first car which was a 2001 Honda Civic (manual). I taught myself how to drive a stick and also learned how to do other basic mechanical stuff on that car since Honda's are so easy to find parts for. Well, I wrecked that car earlier this year in a small fender-bender that totaled it. I rode my motorcycle for most of the time after that. I just recently started looking for a car again and i was looking for something with an 80's look since I love the show Miami Vice and one of my friends is a huge RX-7 first gen fan and he was always talking about buying one. So when the opportunity to buy one presented itself to me I took the risk and spent 1400 on a 1991 white RX-7 S5.
I love the design and set up of the car and the sound of a rotary engine; its just exciting to me. The only real problems I've had with it are the speedo cable coming undone and the Clutch master cylinder needing to be replaced besides that its only been cosmetic things. I love the car and I've only had it for 2 weeks I can't wait to make it my own and see how much fun I can have working on it.
