My Re introduction with new car
Hello,
Name is Tyler Nelson, I'm from NE Ohio near Kent state university.
Iv been on here for quite a while now, not new to rotarys at all, iv had a rotary miata now for 5 years, had the miata for 10. Also have a 2010 r3 rx8 and just over a week ago I was able to finally pick up my dream car for the last 16 years a 93 rx7 with only 27,000 miles!! Got an amazing deal on it too, literally could not, not buy it. And I'm so happy!! Would of preferred a R1 or a base but this Touring is vey nice and I like it wingless.
So although iv always used this site for info, I now find myself doing more research and using more of the avaiable knoledge on here.
Plans for the FD right now are:
1: Drive it! 😍
2:Maintenance -nothing is broke but it has been sitting and just needs some love and attention. And I plan to upgrade everything as I go.
3:repaint- it is a clean car but has a lot of small scratches and swirls( will not buff out) and a number of dings and rock chips all over the place.
4: slowly upgrade- this car is replacing my race car miata, so it will be going to the track, as offten as we can. And I will be upgrading and modifying a lot. But I want to keep this one (unlike the miata) steet friendly for me to drive. As I will enjoy it their most offten
My DD STi in the back ground, from the day we picked her up.
27070 miles at pick up!
First drive home with wife in the STI, was so happy. She laughed at me the whole way home as I could not wipe off the huge smile I had! As I said iv wanted a FD for 16 years!!
