My new 84 RX7

I just picked up a 84 SE Grey with Red guts. 106000 miles clean inside and out I got a good price. I new that it might need new engine. Compression is good but of course she leaks. Are there any patching ideas? or do I need to bite the bullet and shell out the big bucks for a rebuild? If so how much should I expect 2500? more?
Any ideas would be great.

Leaking where? usually, at that age and if the car has been sitting, the leak will start from the TOP of the engine near the distributor...the dreaded dowel pin oil leak. If not, yer lucky. So, anyhoos, this is the INTRO section, so what's yer name and what happened to make you go rotary?

I have had three. Its been a long time it feels good to be back in the saddle again.
What kind of RX7 do you have? Oh I plan on taking my car to Jerrys little car shop on Monday to get looked at. I spoke to them on the phone and they sound like they know what they are doing. Got to run

It's the two RX-7's in my sig just...well, I hope Jerry knows a thing or two about rotaries. Most shops won't even take in the 1stgen RX-7's anymore if there's any kind of an engine problem. If you've got tech questions, head on over to the New Member Technical board, read up a little and then fire away!
