New to Rotaries! o yea and this site!
Hey everyone, my name is Rich, and i am hoping to be picking up my first RX7. of course as my screename says, it is an Fb. Im located in omaha nebraska, and hopefully going to swap an 13BT into it. I am new to rotaries, but not to engines and rebuilding, i find rotaries interesting by there design, and cant wait to learn more about them! ive got to call the guy tomorrow and tell him i will buy it.
My history dates back to when i was 16, my first car was a saturn sl2. slightly moddified. then 2 years ago i bought an 86 celica-supra and drove it till the engine blew and rebuilt a 7M-GTE block with 5m pistons and head. creating a hybrid or frankenstien 6M-GE. it was fun, but due to school i had to sell it. my goal is to have a weekend drift car, i attended many drift events up in elko minnesota with the TMF opposition. but i was never ready in time to actually drive at the events.
so thats where this FB shell comes in. The reason i chose the FB was because of a long passion i had with it as a young kid, it all started with a used car dealership that had one there with louvers and everything. i loved it. it was debadged and i had never seen anything like it before. i knew i had to have it!
hopefully ill be ready in time with the swap for next season and actually attend some drift events. anyway...um yea, here is that questionair thingy.
1) What model Rotary car/truck was/is your favorite?
all i know is i love the sound of a 13bt
2) What was the best thing about the car? the body style of fb's classic.
3) What brought you to this site, Information, Friends, Selling, Buying, ect. ?
information, but also buying.
4) Would you go to Rotary Events if they where close to you 50-75 Miles?
hell yeah!
5) What port job do you like more, Streetport, Bridgeport, P-Port, Other?
i would have to look into a little more, and it depends on the application.
6) What was the first mod you did on your car?
well the engineless rx7 wont be here till monday, but my frist mod was a cheapie intake and rims.
Its almost midnight and i have work tomorrow. just thought instead of just trolling the forums and archive section i would atually sign up and say hello!
