Zach, thanks for registering and welcome aboard to RX-7 Club. And although I'd trade in a heartbeat for the car in the pictures, you have to realize that these older cars are not going to be reliable daily drivers without quite a bit of work to get it all tuned up simply because of the age of all the parts. There so many "Help! My car won't start" threads started EVERY DAY here, it borders on unbelievable. And the GSL-SE you're depicting above has the first generation of Mazda's fuel injection system which has also been known to be a tricky she-devil to diagnose when it has problems.

That being said, and seeing the list of cars you've had, I'm hoping you are a multi-car person like myself. In that case, this is a no-brainer. Dump the Pontiac and get the RX-7. With time and a little bit of money, you can get the power, the mileage and the creature comforts of the Bonny in that RX-7 but you'll also have a car that is massively far ahead of the domestic iron in terms of grip, handling and braking. A go-kart on the street when done right. You'll have a big fat, freakin' smile on your face every time you turn the key and go for a drive if you've got any oil pumping in your veins at all.

If this is going to be your college or get-to-work every day car and it's the only car....don't do it.
