Thanks Mario.. well I just got stationed in Japan and the honest answer on why i went rotary is that i wanted a skyline or an RX7 once i got here, but once i saw that skylines here were a dime a dozen i wanted the RX7. I've always wanted one, so I figure i'd get one specially since there are few here where i'm stationed!

got some pics? I've heard soo much about the "scene" in Okie...is that where you are stationed? Be safe and watch your six with the SPs!

 

oh man, we are acutally restricted from being part of the "scene" here becasue of people getting in trouble but, ITS FRICKING CRAZY the kind of cars you see out here... i'll post some pics once i get some decent ones.

LOL everyone wants the skyline. All the people at the local car club here say they wish they could get their hands on the skyline, but 50% of them always respond with "because i saw it in fast and the furious" Being ex military myself I know what you mean when you say Restricted from being part of the scene, but really thats just to cover their own asses because its pretty common to get involved and then get hurt, lots of soldiers do it without thinking so be safe.

 

WOW! thats cool, right hand drive and all that. Its amazing how this car can connect people from all throughout the world. There is definently something special about the Mazda Rx-7!!!

Good luck with your car, hopefully its in good condition, and the previous owner took good care of the engine (oil changes and all that...). I myself am about to get a first gen Rx-7, so I'm planning on conversing with others who have the same car, to really learn.

Hey guys seriously thanks for the warm welcome! Yeah is like i said i've always wanted to get a 3rd Gen RX7 but just didnt happen. Its sexy ride and i just cant believe how easy i can break the rear loos by tapping the gas! lol

Enjoy it while you're over there! I had a handful of Air Force friends that were stationed over there (mainly misawa) and they were all into cars and really made it a fun place to be.

Lol like I said in pretty green on RX7s... I am not really sure what that is yet...!!!

 

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that's a company based in japan that specializes in these rides in terms of aero/performance modification etc.
