MO My first sports car

Hi, my name is Kalen. I live in **** Noster, MO. I just bought an 87' TII coupe late last summer. Bought it for just under 4k. It's definitely a project, and my first at that. This is also my first car with any real potential power, so I hope to learn a lot. I've already got a list going for what I wanna do to it. Around mid to late May, I want to start building my car. If I could get some help sometime, that would be cool, seeing how it's hard to find someone who's played around with these engines, and knows what they're doing. Questions, comments, tips...let me know.

Welcome, Kalen!

Sounds like a good project. Let us know if you have any questions.

I just ordered a Cosmo engine. I've got a turbonetics t3t4 ready for it. Soon to come parts are RA apex seals, a large streetport, Haltech ECU, RC injectors, SS oil lines, new exhaust, Aeromotive FPR, AEM water/meth inj., strut braces, new springs and some body work(front bumper, front right fender, paint job). Things the owner did before me- Greddy FMIC, HKS SSQV BOV, Godspeed wastegate, radiator and cooling fan,
Koni adj. shocks and Walbro fuel pump. I'll post pics later today.

Keep those Konis - discontinued for FCs, unfortunately.

Sounds good, I am also thinking about the 20b upgrade, currently have a T66 turbo with 1600cc injectors on REW13B street port.

Are those shocks pretty good??

Sorry, should have been more specific. I meant I got the 13B-RE Cosmo.

My pics were too big to even be scaled down to post, so I gave links to the ones I have on my Facebook.

I've done all the searching I could and just can't seem to find the answer I'm looking for.

I'm in the process of ordering parts for the swap and I'm going to get a stage 2 Comp clutch kit from Banzai. Do I need to get the lightweight flywheel and counterweight in order for the RE block to hook up to the TII trans?

The Cosmo engine should come with the rear counterweight since it is from an automatic.

For the flywheel you have a few options; you can install a LW flywheel on the CW that came with the engine or you can install a stock S5 TII or FD flywheel.

You cannot use the stock S4 flywheel.
