Hi, My name is Josh. I am picking up my first RX7 FD tomorrow. I have owned every type of cars you can think of from Cobra SVT to Acura NSX. I have always wanted an RX7 and looking forward to meeting RX7 owners and attending meets, etc. This will be my weekend/project car. It currently has the stock twin turbo, but I am planning to go single turbo.

As someone who also lives in California, I'm curious what your monthly insurance cost is owning an NSX (I've heard these have high insurance rates) and an FD

 

I am getting the quote for my FD today. As for the NSX, surprisingly, it is not as high as you would think. It is almost the same rate as my IS350 for full coverage...granted I have multiple cars discount, good driver, etc. I'll PM you the info.

 

Any reputable company specializing in rotary engine specific to FD around Orange County, Ca that anyone recommend?

That key is awesome! lol...Congrats on the purchase, I'm in my first year of ownership and only advice I can give is take care of the 7 like it was your girlfriend...Treat her right, and she will be good, treat her bad and she will be crappy, and of course they all have their hissy fits every now and then.
