My first mazda and rotary!

Hello all!

I am new to the Mazda community! I've owned plenty of 240s and Hondas way back when. I've recently been putting around in a genesis sedan I bought in 2015. Been rocking that since.

Recently an almost mint 88 fc3s convertible with 88k on it became available from my gfs mom. She was the second owner, she purchased it in 2007.

She had installed a half cage, pre-silencer and a borla cat back exhaust. She mainly drove it for auto x and a few track days. She went to car shows and did a few club rallies with it. She also has some history as an auto navigator and took third place in an alfa Romeo rally. You can see.some of here badges on the dash.

I bought it 2 weeks ago. I've had some issues with the half cage making it difficult to get in and out of the car. I'm 6ft 240lbs. So I did the sensible thing and installed and nrg quick release and went with a momo 350mm deep dish wheel. It's made the car more enjoyable to drive and easier to exit and enter the car.

I ordered and received a koyorad all aluminum radiator. It was damaged on arrival. Someone boxed it damaged. Super bummed. I've never purchase anything like this for a car I've owned. But thankfully enjuku racing is getting me a replacement.

This car is mainly for track days. No drifting. Ao I'll be fully upgrading all the suspension, wheels and tires.

This being my first rotary, I have so many questions. And I hope to find the answers here.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum! Your car looks super clean and appears to still have the original paint which is amazing!
