My first car

Well just yesterday I managed to pick up a good condition 1980 Rx7 with only 53,000 miles on it. So I thought I'd introduce myself to the forum.

If it's truly in good condition, that car is a superb candidate to keep as original as possible...if you want to go rotary and fast, find another car to modify and leave that one like a time capsule piece for the restores of these cars in the near future!

So, what's the name, what's the story on how you came to feel the love for rotaries and how did you come across this great find?

Haha yeah thats exactly what i was thinking, when I first heard of the car I thought of all the possiblities of modding it. But once I saw it in person I knew that i would have to keep it stock. I was originally looking for a car to buy on Craigslist because its getting close to fall and I need a car for college. Somehow I just happend to run across this Rx7 by chance. Over the years I've had a few friends who have owned all kinds of Rx7s, one in particular has owned about 6 or 7. But I never knew anyone who owned a first gen. So this interested me greatly.
The quality of the pictures aren't the best, b/c they're taken from my phone. But better ones are soon to come.

Man. I want a first gen. : /

I've yet to find a real clean one that screams "buy me!"

Awesome buy on your part though.

That is a gorgeous FB. And only 53K? Lucky bastard!

Question for you guys. I have put an offer on an FB that has blown apex seals but everything else is in pristine condition. The guy's asking $500. Yes? No?

well if your doing the labor yourself and you know what your doing then it should be a good deal. That is as long as everything else really is in pristine condition

I would consider getting new rims, if I didnt have millions of other college costs to pay for first. So they'll have to do for now. I'm just happy they're not hubs
