Hey guys, my name is Matt. I'm from Ontario, Canada. My car is an 87 Nissan Z31 (rhd) and my mom just picked up an unmolested 92 Efini FD3S. She isn't one for computers so I'll be on here asking questions and looking for answers. I'm new to rotary engines aswell. I'm not a pro mechanic, I don't know everything, and most my work is limited to handtools. (my folks have a junk clustered garage, I have no garage)

My folks aren't computer savvy, which is why I'm here. I hope to learn as much as I can about RX7s while I'm not busy on my car and such.

 

very nice cars, im also new into the rotary seen my friend has an rx7 and isnt very computer friendly so im in somewhat the same seen as you because i had stuck with nissan mostly but now rotary is really drawing my attention!

 

I ALWAYS will love Nissan, but rotary engines are simple and amazing engines. I wouldn't mind building a 4 rotor Z31 or S chassis someday haha. Or maybe an RBxx FC.

I hope this car doesn't have too many "FD issues" and start costing too much money because I know my parents wont hold on to it.

your mom is a boss for buying an FD! Can't even talk my mom into even sitting in a sports car let alone buy one lol.

 

My mom had a couple Z31s when I was in high school. Currenty she has a 96 Subaru SVX aswell. The RHD is putting her off but I'll teach her how to drive properly.

Thanks guys! Got some Aluminum handles ordered for te door since one plastic handle broke off. Sent one bent Meister to Toronto for repair minus machining. I need my wheels back haha. Just going to rock them for a while then new paint and machining later.

That's impressive that your mom would want an RX-7.

 

She just thought it looked cool. She didnt want it because of the RHD but me and dad bought it anyways. Eventually I'll steal it... Maybe give it to my girlfriend for a project haha
