CA Minnesota/California john, 17

hello every body my name is john, im 17,and i have recently been blown away by rx7s. after watching the fast and the furious since birth ive loved cars. my first car was a 94 toyota pick up. timing chain broke, soooo i tore that apart and replaced that, with out removing head or oil pan, first time ever dealing with any sorts of internals. second car was a scion TC. not my favorite car due to fwd but beggars cant be choosers. i had laid out my track car set up and what i wanted to due to it when the time came. my parents presented an option for me witch was to sell the tc and help contribute to getting a track car. ive been tearing mechanical product to pieces and putting back together because only god knows why well ive enjoyed looking at other peoples build and hope that my build will one day be up on here.

CA Welcome Aboard John

Good to hear you traded up to the best engine in the world, and Rx7's are timeless classics.

What kind of track car are you going to build?

Which chassis RX7 are you going to buy?

wanted to creat a drift car that would be some what easy to convert for a time attack.

drift set up:
hydro e-brake
dual caliper (not sure if i want to go stock or just upgrade to some big shiny calipers)
sways/struts
max super angle arms and toe link and trailing arms
coilovers(not sure which brand)
full cage
seats
dyno mat (IMO i think grip tape floor over the dyno mat would be sick)
not sure on wheels and tires
single turbo simple boost control (custom mani twin 44mm wastegate
i want a universal varex muffler and if youve seen scion time attack all of there exhaust(dump tube and turbo out) runs through the hood i want to do that clean
im looking for a wide power band and im not exactly sure how to accomplish that
mannykiller had a sick rad/IC setup. im thinking about doing that not to be copy cat but it is magnificent
i want to shave any thing uneeded(winshield washer fluid and what not)
BODY:
seibon doors hatch and hood
havent choosen a body kit yet
paint custom gunmetal gray with a pearl escent over anything non CF( gotta show those off) white wheels with pearl escent lugs
and thats about as far as ive thouht about

Welcome to the site! Which part of CA are you from? Hopefully there will be a meet where we can all meet and get to know more about our cars.

Nice! Sounds like you have it all thought out and planned well. It's better that you decided to build a track car rather than try to track and street it. Keep us posted and post some pictures of your build when you get it started.
