I'd also recommend taking the "rx7 lemon site" with a grain of salt. Some useful things to be found there but the site mostly consists of a guy trying to rip off a dealer with failures he had after doing mods not under warranty. Much more useful info found here on this site. Good luck!

well i am not a proud owner of an FD. it's a project that has had a total of 6 years since it was last on the road but it is an 80k chassis and the motor/tranny are supposed to be 35k.
will be a fun project especially if the motor/tranny work out well.

got to do a compression check via piston type compression guage and pulses were even and compression looked good all around so should be ready to start planning on making this engine run

here are some updated photos
picked up stock intercooler and stock airbox

the parts stack it's down to tires now although the fan is out currently so i can make quick changes to the wiring harness till all the bugs are gone.

and the affordable(cheap) exhaust to get me through(downpipe won't work cause the o2 bung is facing the rear turbo)

and the new shoes that almost broke my budget

they are Volk GT-N's

yea had an RX8 but needed to get wife something nicer so i bought her the Tribeca in the background and found this project. my goal is 5k (without wheels) and i am at 4900 with the diff i just purchased (i don't count fluids and general maintenance items against the total)
so a 5k FD is a bargain imho
