In the market for an FC

Hello, looking to get an FC here soon. I'm a car guy, think I have 7 cars right now, trying to sell 2 so I can get an fc and later an fd. Currently I have a 350z, 2jz sc300, 2g eclipse, LS1 silverado, f150 prerunner project etc.
I'm not sure if I should buy a decent s5 as a starting point for ~4-5k$ or start with a cheaper blown motor shell etc.
My goal is 400whp following FC3S pro site, a street port, bw s366, stand alone ecu etc.
. So with all those upgrades needed maybe I should just start with a cheaper FC and rebuild it. What do experienced rx7 owners think?

welcome. i say find something u can get for under 2k and build it the way u want it. with all the other vehicles u have, it's not like it needs to be driveable and build as u go.

Sounds like the plan. I see a few rx7s here for about 4k with the engines needing rebuilt. Seem steep. I'll keep looking. Really want an s5 I can get to pass smog then change it up.

The posting restrictions should be tamed way down. You can comment on stuff in the new member section. Maybe someone shared some pics of some nice cars that you can comment on. With the post count out of the way, you still do need 24 hours of membership before the rest of the forum opens up.

the restriction has been reduced to only 2 posts and 24 hrs. but that could just be the ability to access the classifieds. 10 posts is really easy. check build threads. i'm sure u could strike up a conversation in no time, and possibly some ideas. in the mean time, u do have access to the classifieds. u may even find what ur looking for.

Like the collection you have going. Especially the 2g Eclipse. A 99 in white was the first car I had. Lots of fun too. Good luck with the plans for an FC

I had a 97 spyder gs-t in 2000, was a fun, solid car. Had it up to 145 or 150 mph, top down, felt like it was on rails. Young and dumb -_-

Good luck on the build OP, had two gxl and one vert, really fun cars.
