Who buys a sports car and is then worried about gas mileage? Plain and simple. If gas mileage is a big concern for you, then don't buy a sports car as a DD xD.

If you get over that fact, then who cares what anyone else thinks? As long as you like your FD as your DD then it's all good.

My cousin told me rx7's can be a dd no problem as long as you don't drive short distances because they normally need atleast 15 min from start to shut down or else it shortens the motors life. I also learned that city will kill your car. Just remember to rev it to maintain a constant rev when idling because these cars were made for highway and long drives with high speeds not city stop and go. Atleast thats what I've been told.

Most people think the only way to get a reliabel rx7 is to drop in a v8. Those are the people we like to call Reatards.

Good to know its possible to DD. I am in the same boat wanting to get rid of a perfectly good 08 civic si because its boring. I do have a second car thats supposed to be the "fun" car that i could split time with so i guess i would consider my RX-7 needs as a "primary driver"
