Hi, everyone! I'm from the Louisville area and I am happy to be a member of this forum. I purchased my first RX-7 in 1984 (or 1985) from a supervisor at work who married a woman with two kids and needed to trade it in for a family car. It was a 1982 model, Tornado Grey with a black interior. I drove it until it died in 1998. I still have it and I am looking forward to eventually restoring it some day. Since then, I have purchased two others: a white 1983 model (without a motor) and a 1983 Maya Gold GSL. The Maya Gold RX-7 was wrecked across the right front fender and bumper. I purchased it for $475. It has 102K original miles. I have repaired the collision damage, added an aftermarket rear seat, and am in the process of a total restoration. I have a vocational certificate in automotive refinishing and some general mechanical experience including a complete overhaul of a 327 small block engine. But, that's about it. So, I'm really looking forward to finding some information here that will help me in my restoration project.
