Looking for the right rx-7

I'm gonna buy a RX-7 here in Japan while I'm stationed here in Okinawa just trying to get help on deciding and opinion which series was best!

well, since there are several series of the rx7, anyone with a specific series will tell you the one they have is the best. i myself prefer the 1st gen or series 1-3.

I vote FD. Classic and has aged extremely well aesthetically in my opinion.

When it comes to the fd, Youre going to mod it, they're all the same. Get the newest one that will be legal by the time you leave. Or get s 92-95 so at least when it comes to troubleshooting, the usdm manuals will be of some help.
