Long time reader, new poster

So I've been benefiting from the community for several years now but have yet to post to the site, so thought it might be time to introduce myself. I'm on my second FD, the first was a 93 R1. My current car is a 1999 Type R which I imported last year. The car was super stock when I brought it over and needed the usual items (tires, breaks, fluids, most of the wear items). The gauge cluster also had a melted (never seen that before) odometer and a busted tach, so the first thing to go in was a white 2000 spec cluster to replace the busted one. Plans for this winter include a greddy v-mount, DP and MP, and AutoEXE front and rear sway bars (have the parts, just need to do the work).

This is what it looked like on day one in my hands. Stock engine, fairly clean interior, and it used to be blue; however, the PO didn't bother to paint the door jambs, which is a bit of an eye sore. Also hard to spot from these pics are all the broken plastics in the interior, which have all been fixed to date.

This is where I'm at as of the start of this past summer. Mostly cleaning things up (plastics and other bits needing repair). I've also since added MS front and rear strut tower bars, it has a MS Catback, I've added a PowerFC and Greddy Profec as well and have pulled the airpump and done the block offs and vacuum lines.

Welcome to the Forum

Great to see another Alberta RX7 owner on here. Looks like you have made many improvements to the car in a short amount of time....I guess our winters are helpful in that respect!

Your new wheels look much better

Keep us updated on your progress with a build thread when you get access to those areas. the Greddy V mount will be a nice addition to your engine bay.

Welcome!! That's one beautiful FD! Shame that whoever painted the car didn't leave it the original color.

Agreed. I've always like the innocent blue. I'm planning paint down the road, but still debating color between a few different ones, including blue.
