TX Getting back into the game

Been lurking and searching the forum for the last few weeks trying to refresh my memory about all the intricacies these cars hold.

Previously owned a '87 and a '88 FC, and am making the move to the FD. The FD is definitely what would be considered a project, and won't be done quickly due to time and budget.
I am looking forward to learning more about the differences and getting my hands dirty with a rotary again.

My brother and I have been tinkering with a FC for a track only car, so you may see some posts about that from time to time too.

Congrats man, good luck with it! Hope it doesn't give you too many headaches down the road, but I bet it's all worth it once you get behind the wheel.

I mean, based on its current state I anticipate a few headaches.

Oh my goodness gracious, just looking at that gives me anxiety. I'm replacing the motor in my rx8 currently and I just have the put the oil pan back on and I thought the whole thing was pretty easy. But if you gave me that to start with and I hadn't seen it before hand I'd have a panic attack lol. do you have all the rest or did you just get a shell?

Still finalizing the deal, tbh... but the plan is to get all the parts to reassemble the car without having to source anything else.

I hope it all goes as planned for ya and you don't have to rip all that out and start over. Although sometimes that ends up being easier.

From the looks of it, depending on what your initial plans for the car are the build can be really quick and dirty or long and tedious. Definitely looks like a good starting point for either one. Let us know how the deal work out. Looking forward to more pictures and the eventual build thread. Welcome back to the Dorito club.
