I'm a long time lurker of this forum and I recently got a 1991 RX7 Convertible. I'm overall pretty happy with the car, but just like all wonderful pieces of machinery some moron owned her at one time and did some very very bad things to her.

The trunk stopped opening yesterday which is where I kept the car cover to keep the rain out of the car because for the first time in 10 years the last week of may/first week of June in south Texas has been rainy.... of course right? So the top of course has a hole in it because we all know you can't get a rx7 for 1300 and expect it to not have problems.


Mechanically she runs fine. Never had any problems started, shifts fine and drives fine for the most part. She does do a little vert shimmy in the rear due to the rear shocks going out.

I have a couple of issues I'd like to ask about in the 2nd gen forum, which I'm sure I'll get to eventually.
