MI Long time lurker - 1st time member!

Heyo everyone!

Some years ago I was on this site pretty heavily absorbing knowledge for my first RX7 (86 FC N/A S4) - -

Sold that back in 2018 and I was 7-less up until recently!

Which brings me to the big reveal!

THIS - - 85 GSL-SE widebody (CP Racing/Black Dragon/Pacific? Not 100% sure)

Absolutely in love with this thing. Planning a few phases in terms of powerplant, livery and modifications. Progress will depend on income of course.

Always had an affinity for widebody FBs, IMSA cars, Kanjo racers, big money NA builds...etc. So this ol' gal checks alllllllll of the boxes obviously!

I don't know the provenance, all I was told was that it comes from New Jersey, 2 owners. First owner in Jersey paid for the kit and a T2 motor. Sold the motor, sat on the roller, and then years later sold the roller to the guy I'm buying from. Definitely hoping someone here happens to recognize it and can tell me more. Alas probably a pipe dream!

Anyway! Let me know what you think! Ask me questions!

Happy to be here!

As she lies for the time being!

A sad sight. I have an 85 GSLSE 13B Lined up to go in until I have the money for a big power build later!

Previous owner was starting on body and paint obviously.

These are the F:15x8 R:15x11 SSR MK1 lookalikes that I got for pretty cheap just for this build.

This approach still has it's fans samll, not everyone's vision for their RX7 is the same, and there is support for all directions taken. My own vision is the simplicity and beauty of the original design, and while I would not take your approach others have in the past. It's good to see someone continue that vision,
