hi all, new to these guys. '94 chaste white with 74k miles on her! paid $10k for it, all oem minus a turbo timer and down pipe. Was sitting for 5 years from a fender bender and a "friend of a friend" was doing the fix and paint work on it... ya'll know how that goes. 5 years go by, dent has been fixed, all new mazda oem chaste white paint used on everything but the hatch and bumpers. the guy got tired of waiting on the new paint job and said im done with it and listed it for sale. i need to put the bumpers, headlights, taillights and some trim pieces back on. i turned the engine over by hand slowly before i pulled the trigger on it to ensure she wasnt locked up
Got it home, drained the gas tank. New gas with a heavy pre-mix, new battery, new plugs &&&& SHE FIRED RIGHT UP. 5 years dry storage nbd
Underside is CLEAN! no rust, all pinch welds are straight. this thing was well taken care of. Did i mention clean title ? So i bought the car to flip, but i love it and think im gonna keep it. Taken for 2 short dirves so far, havent hit boost yet, let warm up for about 4-5 mins each time and havent taken over 3500rpm's - want to finish the full tune up before i push it
Anyway, good buy ? i think so
first things to do after tune up (oil change, new hoses/vac lines, cleaning, put bumpers/lights on). Gotta check engine light i need to read as well...
Was thinking the AST bypass and putting a better cooling system in it and doing a OMP delete/block. Will be reading the FAQ 3rd gen section, hope to get to know a few of you
Welcome for 10k sounds like a great deal as long as you don't have to put another 10k into it. Take her to 5000 rpm if the boost doesn't drop you're good to go, if it does take some Tylenol.
could anyone tell me what trim level i have ? i dont have the snakes in the back... but i have all black leather interior, sunroof, 1 oil cooler, cruise control.
I think you got a great deal on this car, putting body parts together is easy and well worth the deep discount you received. Especially considering it's a pretty much stock '94.
Not sure about the trim, it's definitely not an R2, most likely base.

Thoughts on which trim?
Maybe this will help.
In 1993, three North American models were offered; the "base", the touring, and the R models.[citation needed] The touring FD included a sunroof, fog lights, leather seats, a rear window wiper and a Bose Acoustic Wave system.[citation needed] The R (R1 in 1993 and R2 in 1994–95) models featured stiffer suspensions, an additional engine oil cooler, an aerodynamicspackage, purple-hued microfiber seats, and Z-rated tires.[citation needed] In 1994, the interior received a small update to include a passenger air bag, and a PEG (performance equipment group) model was offered. This model featured leather seats and a sunroof.[citation needed] It did not include the fog lights or Bose stereo of the touring package.[citation needed] In 1995, the touring package was replaced by the PEP (popular equipment package). The PEP package contained leather seats, sunroof and fog lights, but didn't have the Bose Stereo nor the rear window wiper.[citation needed

It's a "PEP" or "PEG" which are popular equipment package and popular equipment group, they are the same trim. I'm going to hang out here and tell you not to sell the car, get the paint fixed again and keep it stock. White on a black interior is a rare combo as most CW cars had tan seats and tan carpet.
It's also a '94 model which means it is the "cream of the crop" when choosing a USDM model, the '94 and '95 cars had some mid cycle engineering changes which made them superior to '93's.
Where did you find this advertised? I would have been all over it if I'd seen it; congrats on the find!
