Long Time Coming!
Hello Everyone!
I've inherited a 1983 RX-7 from my Aunt. She bought the car brand new in 1983 and has driven it since. Recently, she bought my perfect '97 Lexus SC400, and is also purchasing a home and does not have the money to restore it, so she gave it to me to restore. The car has been something I've wanted since I was 2 years old when she bought it, then it was supposed to be my first car, but she still needed it, so now, I finally have it. It has been mechanically maintained, but not as aesthetically, so that's where I'm beginning. The bad news is that it has 353K on it, second motor at some point. Still runs smooth. I'm wanting to do a 13b injected conversion, with newer trans and rear end, but I'm not sure if I have to swap the dash as I have the basic dashboard, it also needs to smog because I'm in CA, so I'll basically be looking for a wrecked GSL-SE to swap everything over from so it'll pass the Referee here in CA. Anyhow, looking forward to making friends and learning from all of your knowledge here.
