Hello ladies and gents!
After growing up with a brother and cousin who are rx7 enthusiasts, Ive jumped on the RX7 bandwagon and bought a 1985 RX-7. It's originally an SE, but it has a 12a motor. The previous owner is a good family friend and he swapped the 13b motor into another car. Other than the motor, its a legit SE. I've always considered a sporty looking car, spoiler, kit, rims etc. but Im loving the acqua color and thinking of going for a classy, authentic stock look....like it looked in the showroom back in 1984
Its a pretty car as if, but I plan on making it sexier and as of now Im only focusing on looks. But Im sure sooner or later I would want to go faster. Im thinking Ill go a year as is, since itll be my daily driver now, then look to swap. My brother suggests a T2 swap, like him, and as of now that's the plan. Ive however done some research and I see theres a 20B motor out there. I guess it costs more for the motor, but is the swap as easy and as cheap as the T2 swap??? Is it even worth the price difference? Im happy to be a part of the community and look forward to asking questions and answering many if I can at all

Nice ride. There's a good chunck of cash difference between a tii swap and 20b . I'm talking 2k minimum . I just finished a 13b RE swap on my tii and man was it painfully, lots of custom piping, parts, etc, but the pay off is 10x greater bro. But what it boils down to is what HP ur looking to achieve .400+(20b), less than that, a tii motor with tastefull mods would do the job .. goodluck man!
