Back with another fd to compliment my 1973 rx3 sedan
current 2002 SpiritR #1229 Type A work 70,000km.

Had a R32 GTR with 330rwkw but always longed for another fd since 1993 fd.

 

Had my first fd for 8 years
First 2 years i went through 4engines 2 diffs and 2 gearboxes.
Then i calmed down a lil when i lost my licence.
It was ported dowelled, blitz fmic and plugin wolf ems.
Made 254rwKW

 

Next was my R32 GTR
Had this for 9 years
It was stock apart from arc fmic, blitz pod filters and powerfc ecu.
Coupĺe of track days and 6 piston melted. Then forged pistons n ballbearing turbos, the GTR made 330rwkw
It was fun n fast but really nothing compared to my old fd in handling. More reliable n durable but no where the Fd3s balance and looked outdated compared to the rx7.

 

Next was 2007 Porsche carrera s
that lasted 6months. Was stable at high speeds but wouldn't handle like the rx7 or GTR.
So bye bye Porsche and on with the hunt for another Fd3s.

 

Had IRONCHEF imports bid for me in auction houses in japan
Was bidding on #1490 hence my plates last7 being one of the last SpiritRs.
But that went over my price range. After awhile found my one owner with service books 65k kms.

Bnr stage III turbos n 4 x850cc injectors
power fc
Plazaman fmic
nightsports exhaust

Made 256rwKW

 

Sweet cars, I just sold my R32 to finish my FD build, R32's are cool and all but they're no FD

 

So true. Fd financial difficulties

Lol couldnt be a more accurate description, the more I work on my car the higher the budget seems to be getting

 

Not bad for a stock 15year old motor
